Kodi has conducted research on media curricula, institutions and experts in 20 eastern and southern African countries. His detailed report recommends recommended how to enhance children's agenda in media.

At the Division of Communication headquarters, Kodi helped design communication strategies on MDGs 2 and 3, which track global progress in universal primary education and the gender parity, for outreach to development professionals, including academics and the civil society.
